It is with a sad heart that we bid farewell to Czilika Gy\u00f6rgy, the last great fiddler in the Czilika musical dynasty, who, through his \u021aara C\u0103latei music, had selflessly served many dancers and musician worldwide. In the 63rd year of his life, after a patiently borne illness, he moved on to join his many good friends in the heavenly ensemble. We shall accompany him on his final journey to the cemetery in Aghire\u0219 on 5 March 2021 from 13:00. We cherish his memory in our hearts!<\/p>
Czilika Gy\u00f6rgy (Gyuszi), first fiddler from \u021aara C\u0103latei<\/strong> The last great fiddler in the Czilika musical dynasty from B\u0103gara.<\/p> His father Gy\u00f6rgy died in 1964, so his uncles, Boros Samu and Czilika J\u00e1nos, took him under their wing as a musician. His skills were honed by them as well as his brothers, Czilika \u00d6d\u00f6n and B\u00e9la, with whom they also took on many events. After the regime change, when his uncles died, he would also often play with Fodor S\u00e1ndor \u201cNeti\u201d. From 1990, he, too, became one of the popular fiddlers of the T\u00e1nch\u00e1z movement, and besides touring, he often worked as tradition bearer and music teacher at the \u021aara C\u0103latei Folk Music and Folk Dance Camp. <\/p> The regions where they permanently played weddings, balls and christenings: Vi\u0219tea, Turea, B\u0103gara, Dorol\u021bu and Inucu.<\/p> His music can be heard on the following audio releases:<\/strong> Another recommended audio publication for his oeuvre:<\/strong>
